How to cancel your ICICI credit card Heres the process

NEW DELHI: ICICI bank provides an easy procedure to its credit card holders to close their ICICI credit card. The credit card holders are required to follow certain steps to close or cancel your ICICI credit card. It is always advised to read the instructions given on the official website of ICICI before closing the credit card.

Contact customer care

The ICICI account holder who wishes to cancel their credit card can call on the ICICI Bank’s customer service number and raise a request for the card cancellation. The account holder can initiate the cancellation process by calling the ICICI toll-free number, 1800-200-8181.

The ICICI account holder who wants to close their credit card can submit their credit card cancellation request throught the official website of ICICI infinity.icicibank.co.in The credit card holders need to provide important information like Credit Card Number, Reason for Cancellation, City, Contact number, and E-mail ID.

Once the request for the ICICI credit card cancellation is submitted, a phone banking officer will contact the account holder within 3 working days to confirm the cancellation. The requester should make sure that the contact number provided is correct. The request for the ICICI credit card canellation will be processed in 7 working days after the Phone Banking Officer has contacted the credit card holder. However, the ICICI credit card will be closed if the bank is unable to contact the account holder.

Things to do before cancelling ICICI credit card

1. Pay off dues

Before initiating the request for credit card cancellation, the account holder must clear the dues and all EMI’s that the credit card carriers
2. Redeem Reward Point

Before the ICICI credit card cancellation the account holder should check and redeem the reward points. The reward point might get them gift from the ICICI bank’s reward catalogue.

3. Stop using the card further Once the request raised for the cancellation of the credit card, do not use it further. The ICICI bank will terminate the credit card cancellation process if the credit card holder initiates a fres due.
